The 66th Grammys has just been concluded and Ghanaian music producer Samuel Soso emerged as one of the winners for producing the song water by Tyla which bagged Best African Music Performance.

They are regarded by many as the most prestigious and significant awards in the music industry worldwide.Ghanaian musicians and music industry professionals have received recognition and nominations for their work in various categories at the Grammy Awards, they include;
Rocky Dawuni, a Ghanaian musician, earned his first Grammy nomination in 2015 for his album "Branches of The Same Tree," making him Ghana's inaugural nominee. Subsequently, in 2021, his album "Voice of Bunbon, Vol. 1" was nominated for Best Global Music Album, followed by another nomination in 2022 for Best Global Music Performance for his song "Neva Bow Down" featuring Blvk H3ro, establishing him as a multi-Grammy nominee.
The first Ghanaian musician to win a Grammy was Fuse ODG, born Nana Richard Abiona. He won for co-writing songs on Ed Sheeran's album "Divide," which clinched the Best Pop Vocal Album category at the 2018 Grammy Awards. "Divide" was released in 2017.
In 2018, Joseph Kwame Addison, known as Killbeatz, made history as the first Ghanaian beat maker to win a Grammy. He won Producer of the Year for his work on Ed Sheeran's "Divide" album, specifically for the song "Bebia b3y3 yie."
In February 2024, Samuel Awuku, also known as Samuel Soso, a British Ghanaian DJ, songwriter, and record producer, clinched the Best African Music Performance award for his production on the song "Water" by South African artist Tyla. His first Grammy nomination was in 2021 for his contributions to Wizkid's "Made In Lagos" album.
