All Royal Kente cloths are MG branded for proof of Authenticity in a secluded area of the Kente and comes specially gift wrapped.

Kente comes from the word kenten, which means basket in the Asante dialect of Akan. Akans refer to kente as nwentoma, meaning woven cloth. It is an Akan royal and sacred cloth worn only in times of extreme importance and was the cloth of kings. Over time, the use of kente became more widespread.

Kente cloth is special on many levels. Around the world, the unique patterns and colors are easily identifiable as a representation of West African culture. ... This gives each Kente design its own unique, symbolic value. Kente cloth may symbolize the wearer's status or mark a festive occasion.

Materials Combined Used are-Cotton, Rayon weaved together. 

It's Common For Females To Use 6 Yards For Sewing Gowns, Dresses, Etc. Males commonly use the Traditional wrap from 8 to 10 Yards and Overly Sized Men can have the Option of 12 Yards. And Children are Typically 4 Yards. Babies and Accessories Typically use 2 Yards.

Beautiful fabric

I usually don’t write reviews but I received excellent customer service and shipping was earlier than expected. I enquired about 6yrds for myself and my son which they added an additional 2yrds for him free of charge. The cloth come in 2yrds pieces but I requested to have them all attached to make a full 6yrds for myself which they did with no fuss. I needed this material by the 23rd June and I was assured it will arrive by then. I purchased on the 15th June and it arrived to the UK on the 20thJune. The fabric, detailing and embroidery is more beautiful in person. The colours are rich and luxurious. There are minor loose thread here and there (a little snip can solve that) but understand kente is handmade so it’s to be expected. I will definitely purchase from here again.
